Bar Form Electroscope -- Versorium (Gilbert)
Purpose
Demonstrates charge detection using a pivoting metal vane (versorium). An uncharged vane is attracted to any charged object regardless of polarity; once charged by contact, it distinguishes sign through attraction vs. repulsion.
