Klein Bottle
Purpose
A glass Klein bottle provides a tangible example of a non-orientable surface -- one with no distinct inside or outside. It introduces dimensionality and topology, illustrating how 4D mathematical objects can only be approximated in 3D (the self-intersection is an artifact of the projection).
Figure 1:
Glass Klein bottle. The neck loops upward and passes through the wall into the interior—a self-intersection that would not occur in true 4D space.
