Poster printing

Cost and lead time

Undergraduate students and department staff

Free for Physics and Engineering Physics majors presenting a research poster and for any undergraduate student presenting at an event the department organizes or sponsors, such as the Undergraduate Research Expo. Poster printing is also provided free of charge to department staff.

Reprints are handled case by case and may not be approved, so proof your PDF carefully and read the pre-flight warnings on the request form before you submit.

Allow 2 business days for printing. You will be emailed once your poster has been printed and is ready to collect.

Graduate students, faculty, and research staff

Charged to a speedtype — graduate students, faculty, postdocs, and research scientists. The current rate is $40.00 per poster.

Reprints are charged again as a new print and need PI and financial approval again, so proof your PDF carefully and read the pre-flight warnings on the request form before you submit.

Allow 2 business days after financial approval for printing — how long the approvals themselves take is up to your PI and financial administrator. Lab staff are not notified until both approvals are in. You can check what stage your poster request is at by visiting the poster requests page. You will be emailed once your poster has been printed and is ready to collect.

• Design guide — type sizes for print, keeping figures sharp, the CU palette, and the mistakes that cost a reprint

Building your own instead? Size it 47.48″ × 35.61″ landscape, or keep the shorter dimension at or under 35.61″ so it fits the roll without scaling.
